Prospectus
à la Conférence annuelle de l’Association canadienne des chefs de police (ACCP) à Montréal, Québec, du 16 au 19 juillet 2017. Le Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM) accueillera plus de 275 délégués et plus de 125 entreprises exposantes.
L’ACCP est une association pancanadienne qui s’intéresse à tout ce qui concerne les activités policières, et ce, à tous les niveaux : municipal, régional, provincial, fédéral et Premières Nations. La Conférence annuelle de l’ACCP constitue l’occasion pour ses différents comités de présenter des recommandations et de faire approuver de nouvelles résolutions. Les délégués prennent aussi connaissance du rapport annuel sur les activités de l’Association et de ses comités. La Conférence jette les bases du travail auquel l’ACCP se consacrera dans la prochaine année, au nom de la communauté policière et de la société qu’elle dessert.
L’ACCP s’emploie à appuyer et promouvoir l’efficacité dans l’application de la loi ainsi que la protection et la sécurité de la population du Canada. Elle poursuit ses objectifs en grande partie par les activités et projets spéciaux de ses comités ainsi que par des échanges dynamiques et productifs avec les différents paliers de gouvernement et les différents ministères ayant des responsabilités législatives et exécutives dans le domaine de la sécurité publique.

Nos objectifs
L'ACCP s'emploie à accomplir sa mission par les moyens suivants:
- CONSULTATION :
Rehausser la sûreté et la sécurité du public en collaborant
avec des partenaires professionnels et
communautaires.
- PRISE DE
POSITIONS : Favoriser la réforme des lois et des politiques
afin de prévenir les crimes, de faciliter les enquêtes, de venir en aide
aux victimes et de régler des problèmes pour aider à créer des
collectivités saines et
sûres.
- PROFESSIONNALISME
: Élargir le champ des connaissances professionnelles pour
aider à la formation de dirigeants progressistes et axés sur la
communauté, à tous les
échelons.
- DURABILITÉ :
Effecteur des recherches et soutenir des stratégies et des
pratiques innovatrices qui mèneront à la gestion responsable des
ressources
publiques.
