Du président de l’ACCP

Au nom du conseil d’administration et du personnel du Bureau national de l’Association canadienne des chefs de police, je serai heureux de vous accueillir à Montréal, vous et votre famille, lors de la 112^e Conférence annuelle de l’ACCP du 16 au 19 juillet 2017. Le Service de police de la Ville de Montréal travaille fort, avec l’appui du Bureau national de l’ACCP et du Comité sur l’information, les communications et la technologie de l’ACCP, pour que les séances de perfectionnement professionnel vous soient profitables et pertinentes, et que les activités sociales vous offrent d’amples possibilités de passer du temps avec vos collègues et amis et de profiter de tout ce qu’offre Montréal.

La Conférence s’inscrit cette année sous le thème La police dans une société numérique – Les risques et les possibilités. Les séances de perfectionnement professionnel porteront sur les changements perturbateurs et la façon de les gérer, la prise de décisions policières judicieuses dans une société numérique, la nécessité de doter les services de police d’avantages technologiques et la création d’un plan d’action pour les chefs. Au-delà du thème de notre Conférence, des séances aborderont aussi des sujets que vous nous avez dit être importants pour vous, y compris la recherche axée sur des données probante et la cybersécurité. Nous aurons aussi l’occasion de rendre hommage à de nombreux membres du personnel policier en présentant huit prix.

Notre Conférence 2017 promet de stimuler la discussion et d’inspirer l’action. Je vous encourage, vous et vos cadres supérieurs, à vous joindre à d’autres dirigeants policiers de partout au pays pour partager, apprendre et travailler de concert pour assurer la sûreté et la sécurité de tous les Canadiens grâce à leadership policier innovateur.
